Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga reached the milestone of 100 T20I wickets faster than the legendary Lasith Malinga, accomplishing this in just 63 matches. This achievement was secured during Sri Lanka's 72-run win over Afghanistan on February 19, with Hasaranga claiming two wickets for 19 runs across four overs. Rashid Khan

Afghanistan's spin wizard Rashid Khan leads the pack as the quickest to 100 T20 International wickets, achieving this milestone in just 53 matches. His landmark wicket came against Pakistan in Dubai in 2021. With a total of 130 wickets in 82 matches, Rashid boasts the best figures of 5/3, underlining his status as one of T20 cricket's all-time greats and a pivotal figure in Afghanistan's cricket ascent.

Wanindu Hasaranga

Sri Lankan spin sensation Wanindu Hasaranga secured his place as the second-fastest bowler to the 100-wicket mark in T20Is, reaching the milestone in his 63rd match against Afghanistan on February 19, 2024, in Dambulla. Hasaranga, with a tally of 101 wickets and best figures of 4/9, is on track to become one of Sri Lanka's T20 cricket legends.

Mark Adair
