Former Chennai Super Kings cricketer Ambati Rayudu reacted to Royal Challengers Bengaluru's exit from the IPL 2024 playoffs and said that aggressive celebrations and beating CSK won't win you IPL trophies. RCB suffered a four-wicket loss against Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on May 22 (Wednesday).

Ambati Rayudu on RCB's loss

RCB scripted one of the biggest comebacks in the history of IPL. They were at the bottom of the points table for most of the season and then fought their way into the playoffs after beating CSK in their final league stage match. However, their aggressive and long celebration did receive some criticism from Chennai fans. Now Ambati Rayudu has also targeted them on the basis of it and said these passionate celebrations won't get you success.

"If you talk about RCB today, it shows that only passion and celebrations don't win you trophies. You need to plan. You didn't get the IPL trophy just by reaching the playoffs. You have to play with the same hunger. Don't think you will win the IPL trophy just by beating CSK. You will have to come next year once again," Rayudu said on Star Sports.

"They need to show more faith in Indians, especially in Indian talent. I don't think in the past 16 years any Indian batter apart from Virat Kohli has scored more than 1000 runs, and Virat is at 8000. That shows that you don't have any confidence in Indian talent," he added.

RR to collide against SRH in Qualifier 2

RCB batting first posted 172/8 and RR managed to chase it down with one over and five wickets remaining. Rajasthan will now compete against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, on May 24 (Friday). The winner of that match will become the second finalist and will face Kolkata Knight Riders in the Final of IPL 2024.
