CSK splurged Rs 8.40 crore on Rizvi

At the IPL 2024 auctions held in December, 20-year-old right-handed batsman Sameer Rizvi captured the spotlight for all the right reasons. His all-around capabilities triggered a bidding frenzy as teams vied to secure his services. From an initial base price of Rs 20 lakh, Rizvi was thrust into a heated auction battle between Gujarat Titans and CSK, catapulting his price to an impressive Rs 8.40 crore and making him the most expensive uncapped Indian player in the 2024 auction.
