Despite the notable performances of Ben Duckett and Liam Livingstone, England struggled with their batting lineup. Phil Salt and Will Jacques failed to make an impact, and Matthew Forde dismissed the top three English batters. Duckett played sensibly, scoring 71 runs, while Liam added 45 runs. The lower order, with contributions from Gus Atkinson, Potts, and Rehan, helped England reach a total of 206 runs. West Indies' Alzarri Joseph also impressed, taking a total of 3 wickets.
In their chase, West Indies faced early setbacks with Brandon King scoring only 1 run. However, Alick Athanaje and Keacy Carty's contributions of 45 and 50 runs, respectively, strengthened the team. Despite the dismissals of shai Hope, RutherForde, and Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd's explosive 41 runs secured the victory for West Indies with 14 balls remaining.
Matthew Forde earned the Man of the Match award for his impactful debut, while Shai Hope was honoured with the Player of the Series award. This thrilling match showcased West Indies' resilience and skill, ending a quarter-century wait for a home series win against England.
