Some Pakistan cricketers tend to make headlines for their controversial remarks and some of them have started using it to stay relevant and create buzz around themselves on social media. In a similar such attempt, an ex-Pakistan cricketer Tanvir Ahmed crossed all limits with his derogatory remark against legendary player Harbhajan Singh who backed BCCI's stance on not sending the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for the upcoming edition of the ICC Champions Trophy.

Harbhajan Singh backs BCCI

Harbhajan Singh has openly supported BCCI's stance on the ICC Champions Trophy and has stated that security issues are still there in Pakistan as something or the other happens there almost every day. He said BCCI's decision to not send the Indian team to Pakistan is totally right as the safety of our players is of utmost importance.

“Why should the Indian team go to Pakistan? The security issue there is significant. The situation in Pakistan is such that incidents occur almost every day. I don't think it's safe to go there. The stance of the BCCI is absolutely correct, and nothing is more important than the safety of our players,” said Harbhajan Singh in a conversation with IANS.

Ex-PAK cricketer crosses all limits with his derogatory remark

Tanvir Ahmed who only has an 8-match long International career, in an attempt to stay in the social media spotlight passed a really derogatory remark on Harbhajan Singh. He tried to reply to Harbhajan for his remark but crossed all limits while doing that. The kind of language he used was extremely shameful and is rightfully now facing a lot of backlash on the social media.

If we compare Harbhajan Singh and Tanvir's career, the Indian legend has five 10-wicket hauls in Test cricket which is equivalent to the total number of red-ball matches Tanvir has played for Pakistan. However, he did not even get a similar opportunity in the white-ball set-up as he could only represent Men in Green in three white-ball matches (two in ODIs and one in T20I). On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh has one of the most prominent careers. He has more than 700 International wickets and a career that lasted for almost two decades.
