Today Sudhir Gautam is known as the biggest fan of Sachin Tendulkar all over the world and in each and every stadium Sudhir is seen supporting the Indian cricket team. A three-match T20 series is scheduled to be played between India and West Indies at the Eden Gardens ground, in Kolkata.
In a situation like this, Sports Tak exclusively spoke to Sudhir where he spoke about his experience and the first match and how he became the biggest fan of Sachin Tendulkar.
Sudhir speaks
"Eden is the ground where I saw my first match and that is where I became Sachin Tendulkar's fan. It was in 2001, India vs England" said Goutam to Sports Tak.
"In 2003, after World Cup, I went to Mumbai on a cycle from Muzzaffarpur, Bihar, that is where we met. My dream was fullfilled. Since then he gave me passes" said the man who paints himself in Tricolour whenever the Indian cricket team take on the opponent teams on the cricketing field,” he further added.
A dream for Sudhir
While recollecting memories from the past he shared an anecdote when his “dream was fulfilled” when he met Sachin Tendulkar after he went to Lahore on a cycle to support the Indian team. He claimed that the series where India won the series by 4-1 in Pakistan, was only possible for him to watch, due to Tendulkar.
"Thanks to my God, Tendulkar, I was able to go abroad, that too Pakistan, on a cycle." expressed Sudheer while blowing his iconic conch.
