Former India cricketer slams BCCI by sharing cryptic Bollywood superstars picture after Sri Lanka squad announcement

Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer who is known for his witty posts has tweeted a picture featuring Bollywood superstars Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad for the Sri Lanka series. India will play three T20Is followed by 3 ODIs scheduled to start from July 27. Fans started trying to decode Jaffer's post and sharing their speculative views for the same. 

Some fans speculated that the former India cricketer shared that picture because wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson missed the ODI spot in the squad and young opener Abhishek Sharma missed his spot from both the ODI and T20I squad against the Island nation.

BCCI made so many surprises in the squad against Sri Lanka, star batter Abhishek Sharma who smashed a century in his second T20I missed the spot in the squad and Sanju Samson who was also in lethal form against Zimbabwe missed his spot in the ODI squad. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya who was Rohit Sharma's deputy in the T20 World Cup 2024 will feature in the T20Is as a player. Hardik was supposed to be Rohit's successor after he announced his retirement from T20Is. Rohit and Virat Kohli were set to miss the series due to workload management but both cricketers requested to join the ODI squad considering the Champions Trophy which will be hosted by Pakistan next year.
