Peshawar Zalmi have gotten off to a poor start in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. The Babar Azam-led side has lost two consecutive matches early in the season. As Peshawar Zalmi bowlers struggle to control the flow of boundaries, the franchise’s PSL 2017 final hero Mohammad Asghar wrote an emotional post on X. Asghar wants the franchise to give him a chance again and claims that he can win matches single-handedly for them. He posted a video where he dismissed former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson

In the PSL 2017 final, the left-arm spinner took three wickets and conceded just 16 runs in his quota of four overs. He helped his side bowl out Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Quetta Gladiators for a paltry 90. Peshawar Zalmi under the leadership of Darren Sammy won the match by 58 runs. Since then, Peshawar Zalmi have not won the PSL trophy. In the 107 season, Asghar took eight wickets from seven games.
