'Keep your rubbish with yourself': Harbhajan Singh slams Michael Vaughan's 'nonsense' verdict of Guyana pitch favouring India in semi-final
Team India defeated Jos Buttler's England to seal their spot in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024. Harbhajan Singh slammed Michael Vaughan for his remark on India's win.
Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team defeated Jos Buttler's England by 68 runs in the second semi-final to seal their spot in the Final of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana, on June 27 (Thursday). After the big win of the Men in Blue, former English captain Michael Vaughan made remarks that had England competed in Trinidad, they would have won the semis and that Guyana has been a great venue pick for India. However, these remarks did not sit right with former Indian player Harbhajan Singh, who slammed Vaughan and questioned how that venue supported India.

Harbhajan Singh slammed Michael Vaughan and told him to keep his rubbish to himself and talk logically. He also said India outplayed England in all departments and Vaughan should just accept this fact and move on.

“If England had beaten SA they would have got the Trinidad semi and I believe they would have won that game .. So no complaints they haven’t been good enough. But Guyana has been a lovely venue pick for India,” wrote Vaughan on ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter.
“What makes u think Guyana was a good venue for India ? Both Teams played on the same venue . England won the toss that was an advantage . Stop being silly . England was outplayed by India in all departments. Accept the fact and Move on and keep ur rubbish with urself. Talk logic not Nonsense,” Harbhajan Singh replied to Vaughan's remark.
India to face South Africa in Final
Team India were asked to bat first by England but it turned in their favour as they scored 171/7 in 20 overs with the help of an amazing half-century from captain Rohit Sharma and good contributing innings from Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya. Then in the bowling departments, the Indian spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets each and played the crucial role in bowling out England for just 103 runs and won the match by 68 runs. Jasprit Bumrah grabbed two wickets as well. Now the Indian team will face South Africa in the Final of T20 World Cup 2024 which will be held in Barbados.
