Skipper Rohit Sharma has a chance to achieve multiple feats and move up on three different lists in the ODI format. In the second ODI of the three-match series against Sri Lanka, he needs two runs to get past former head coach Rahul Dravid on the list of leading run-scorers for India in ODIs.

Currently, Rohit has 10,767 runs from 263 games at an average of 49.16 including 31 centuries and 56 fifties. On the other hand, Dravid had scored 10,768 runs from 340 games at an average of 39.15 including 12 centuries and 82 fifties.

Rohit also has a chance to go past MS Dhoni as well on the list of leading run-scorer in ODIs. He needs to score seven more runs to go past Dhoni who has 10,773 runs in ODIs (including runs for Asian team).

Rohit also needs just one run to go past former India captain Sourav Ganguly on the list of leading ODI run-scorers on Asian soil. He has 6,422 runs from 147 ODI innings in Asia. He will take the seventh spot.

Big knock to enter another list of legends

Rohit can achieve another major feat if he scores 78 more runs in the second ODI. He has 1,922 runs from 53 ODIs against Sri Lanka. If the 37-year-old scores 78 runs, he will become sixth batter to score 2,000 or more ODI runs against Sri Lanka. Other batters on the list are Sachin Tendulkar (3,113 runs), Virat Kohli (2,618 runs), Dhoni (2,383 runs), Inzamam-ul-Haq (2,265 runs) and Saeed Anwar (2,198 runs).

Rohit in good form

In the first ODI of the series at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, he attacked the bowlers in the run chase of 231. He hit seven fours and three sixes in his 47-ball 58 before getting out lbw to left-arm spinner Dunith Wellalage.

However, apart from Rohit's half-century, no other batter could convert starts into big scores. Sri Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka struck twice off consecutive balls in the 48th over as India were bowled out for 230 and the match was tied.
