Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team suffered a 110-run loss against Charith Asalanka's Sri Lanka in the 3rd and final ODI of the series which was being played at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, on August 7 (Wednesday). With this, the Men in Blue suffered a 2-0 series loss and this was also India's first bilateral series loss in a 50-over format in the past 27 years. Former Pakistan cricketer Tanvir Ahmed used this opportunity to troll both Team India and their head coach Gautam Gambhir.

Tanvir Ahmed trolls Team India

Tanvir Ahmed has been recently making a lot of headlines for his shameless attacks on Harbhajan Singh and Team India for not considering going to Pakistan for the upcoming edition of the ICC Champions Trophy. He can now constantly be seen making comments about the Indian team in order to keep getting that attention. He once again tried to troll the Rohit Sharma-led side after their series loss against Sri Lanka.

Rohit Sharma on the series loss

Team India was facing a similar problem across all three ODIs. After Rohit Sharma had given the team a good start, the rest of the batting lineup collapsed. In all three games, India failed to chase a target below 250 runs. In the third ODI, SL put 248/7 runs on the board and then bowled out the Indian team on 138 runs and won the match by 110 runs. After the match, Rohit Sharma appeared optimistic despite the loss and also addressed the areas they needed to work on.

“I don't think it is a concern (spin problems). But it is something we have to look at individually and as a gameplan. It is a joke, when you are playing for India there is never going to be complacency. When I am captain there is no chance of that. But you have to give credit to good cricket. Sri Lanka played better than us. We looked at the conditions and went with the combinations, there are also guys who need to be looked at and hence the changes. There are a lot of areas we need to look at rather than the positives from this series because we need to be better prepared when we come across such conditions next time. These things happen, series loss is not the end of the world, you will lose an odd series here and there but it is about how you come back after the loss,” said Rohit Sharma in the post-match presentation.
