Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be taking on Rajasthan Royals in match 19 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur in an attempt to return to the win column after losing two consecutive matches at their own home. Ahead of the big game against RR, RCB posted a video about star speedster Mohammed Siraj showing off his batting skills in the nets. Siraj even expressed his desire to open the innings for Bengaluru.

Siraj shows interest in opening for RCB

In the video posted by RCB from their official ‘X’ account formerly known as Twitter, Mohammed Siraj was going for batting practice in the nets when Vyshak Vijay Kumar asked him whether he would be opening the innings for RCB in the next game and Siraj acknowledges it by saying yes.

Andy Flower speaks on Siraj opening for RCB

Andy Flower was impressed with Siraj's batting and even praised his quality shots but turned down his desire to open for RCB as bowlers won't be bowling too much on the front foot if he is going for opening the innings. Siraj then demonstrated some more of thrilling shots before he lost two balls and was asked to defend. After which the pacer ended his batting session expressing he is not interested in playing defensive cricket as it is T20 not Tests.

However, Siraj is having a dismal outing with the ball. He has only three wickets in four matches so far. He would be trying to play more impactful role for RCB in the upcoming games and help them bounce back in the tournament.
