Newly-appointed captain Hardik Pandya faces the daunting task of leading a franchise that won five IPL crowns under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.
Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya is brimming with confidence as he gears up to lead the franchise in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hardik is currently preparing for the 17th season of IPL and multiple videos have surfaced online showcasing the all-rounder's working hard in the Mumbai Indians training camp. In one of the latest videos shared by the franchise on its social media platforms, Hardik exuded confidence and promised fans a memorable ride.
"The feeling of wearing this colour is very special for me. The journey started here, coming back home and playing is always going to be special," Hardik said in the video.
"We will make sure we will play a brand of cricket which all will be proud of and at the same point of time it’s going to be a ride no one will forget," he added.
Mumbai Indians eye record 6th title
Hardik Pandya faces the daunting task of leading a franchise that won five IPL crowns under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. While the captaincy transition spurred a major debate among fans and pundits, it would be a litmus test for Hardik, especially because he will succeed Rohit.
Hardik has a potent pool of players at his disposal. Mumbai Indians might just have the best roster in the tournament, at least on paper.
