The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024's points table saw a big shakeup on Wednesday, April 17 after Gujarat Titans (GT) versus Delhi Capitals (DC) clash. Rishabh Pant-led DC secured a dominant win against the Shubman Gill's Gujarat Titans, propelling them to sixth place in the IPL 2024's points table.  Unfortunately for Gujarat, this loss dropped them down to seventh, with their net run rate taking a significant hit after being bowled out for a measly 89 runs. Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals continued their impressive run by completing the joint-highest successful run chase in IPL history against the Kolkata Knight Riders.  This victory cemented their position at the top of the standings with 12 points from seven matches.  Kolkata holds onto second place with 8 points, followed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) who are tied for third with the same number of points.

Lucknow Super Giants currently sit in fifth place, with the resurgent Delhi Capitals just behind them.  Gujarat Titans have slipped to seventh, while Punjab Kings remain in eighth.  Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore find themselves struggling at the bottom of the table, currently holding ninth and tenth place respectively.
