Sanjay Manjrekar interrupts Shreyas Iyer as he kisses coin, spoils KKR captain's special toss custom

Kolkata Knight Riders' captain Shreyas Iyer has a special custom of kissing the coin for winning tosses. He did the same when he was handed the toss coin in match 31 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League against Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens, on April 16 (Tuesday). However, fans believe Sanjay Manjrekar might have spoiled his lucky charm by interrupting him right after he tossed the coin.

Iyer was also spotted doing the same during the clash against Lucknow Super Giants, on Sunday. He even won the toss that day but it did not work this time around as Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to field first. When Sanjay asked about Iyer about his custom, he laughed and said it was not a kiss but a flying kiss.

"Would have loved to bowl as well based on the last game, on how the ball moved around. Whenever he (Narine) comes in, he is hard to read and he's got that poker face all throughout, we want him to perform him the way he has. We are playing the same team," said KKR captain Iyer after the toss.

 

 

Rajasthan Royals made two changes in their team as star batter Jos Butller and veteran Indian player Ravichandran Ashwin returned to the line-up after missing out on the previous game against Punjab Kings.

 

"We would like to bowl first. Might be better to chase on this. Very much excited to be back in Eden Gardens, there's a great vibe in the stadium. Jos and Ash are available for this game, so they are coming back," said Samson after winning the toss.
