The highlight of James Anderson's spell came when he bowled Rohit Sharma with a delivery that combined perfect length and subtle movement, which left the Indian skipper shook.
On the third day of the second Test in Visakhapatnam, England's veteran bowler James Anderson showcased his exceptional skill, swinging the momentum towards England with a vital morning spell. Dismissing Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal early, Anderson's precision and experience were on full display at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
The highlight of Anderson's spell came when he bowled Rohit Sharma with a delivery that combined perfect length and subtle movement. The ball, aimed at the stumps, prompted Rohit to defend, but it moved away just enough to bypass the bat and dislodge the off stump, sending Rohit back to the pavilion for 13 runs, including three boundaries. This early strike provided England the advantage they were looking for.

Continuing his dominance, Anderson then went on to dismiss Yashasvi Jaiswal, fresh off a double century. Anderson enticed Jaiswal with a full ball that moved away, leading to an edge caught by Joe Root in the slips. Jaiswal departed for 17 runs, leaving India at 34/2 after 9.3 overs, placing pressure back on the Indian middle order to consolidate and extend their lead.
Anderson's pivotal wickets early in the day underscored his significance in the English bowling lineup, highlighting his ability to challenge even the most formidable batters. His spell set the stage for what could be a significant English fightback, as India aimed to build on their first-innings lead over England's total of 253 runs.
Adding to the day's drama, Jasprit Bumrah produced a remarkable six-wicket haul, demonstrating a masterclass in reverse swing and disrupting England's batting lineup. Bumrah's performance was instrumental in bowling England out for 253, securing a vital lead for India. His ability to change the game's direction showcased the high-caliber bowling on display from both teams, making the second Test a riveting contest.
