Famous Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor was left stunned during the Indian Premier League 2024 final match when Mitchell Starc dropped a dolly catch of Pat Cummins in the ongoing match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

This happened during the 16th over when Sunil Narine was bowling to Pat Cummins. He bowled a slower one and SRH skipper tried for a maximum to release the pressure but the ball got more height than distance and Mitchell Starc, who was stationed at the long-on position, tried to pouch that catch by both hands but ended up dropping it. Soon after that, Janhvi Kapoor was seen upset and stunned at the stands.

KKR ended up bundling out SRH for 113 runs as skipper Pat Cummins was the highest run-getter. He scored a fighting 24 for SRH while Andre Russell was the pick of the bowler for KKR as he picked three wickets in a spell of 2.3 overs. Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana got two scalps each.

Andre Russell on three-wicket haul against SRH

Andre Russell opened up after his three-wicket haul in the final he reckoned that his fitness was the reason behind his performance against KKR.

“Very happy, very happy, especially getting three wickets in this game. We all know how important this game is. As big players, we all stood up tonight. Very happy with how I am bowling and very happy with how everyone's bowling. Just being disciplined, bowling to the plans and trying to bowl less bad balls. My fitness is a big part of that but mentally I am in a better space. I was mentally down for the last few years, going through a lot. At the end of the day, we stand firm, back ourselves and back the talent we have. My body is feeling very good, I want to stay this way for another couple of years. We are not going to take it (target) lightly. These guys (SRH) are going to come out and try to defend this total. We have to make sure that we get a good powerplay. If we get 40-50 without loss or even one wicket down, we are on our way. The bowlers set it up very well. We as batters have to get the job done” said Russell during mid-innings conversation with the broadcasters.
