KL Rahul missed final four Tests against England
KL Rahul's journey back to full fitness comes after a setback with his right quadriceps, which necessitated a consultation with a medical team in London, post his commendable 86-run innings in the opening Test against England in Hyderabad.
Despite the initial disappointment of India's loss in that match and the further blow of losing Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja to injuries for the subsequent Test, the team's spirit remained unshaken. Jadeja's return for the third Test added a glimmer of hope, while Rahul's ongoing recovery has been under the careful watch of the BCCI's medical team, in coordination with London specialists, to address his quadriceps issue effectively.
KL Rahul gears up for IPL 2024
As the 17th edition of the IPL draws near, Rahul's eagerness to rejoin the cricketing battlefield is palpable. With the Lucknow Super Giants set to kick off their campaign against the Rajasthan Royals on March 24, all eyes will be on Rahul, who is poised to make a significant impact as the team's captain.
His journey from undergoing surgery for a hamstring injury sustained during a match against RCB in IPL 2023, to his rehab post the Asia Cup in September 2023, has been a testament to his resilience and dedication.
