Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first at Wankhede Stadium against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Pandya made just one change to his side as he replaced uncapped batter Naman Dhir with Ramandeep Singh. Former MI skipper Rohit Sharma is not in the playing eleven as he will walk in as their impact player. This will be the first time Rohit has been given the role in the ongoing season.

“We will bowl. It's always about playing for pride, it looks quite tough for us but at the same time, we want to play good cricket. Looks like a good track, it's a fresh wicket so thought that bowling first will be good. Only one change, Naman Dhir comes in place of Nabi,” the 30-year-old all-rounder said after winning the toss.

KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer did not make any changes to his winning combination against MI.

“It's always about doing the small things well, obviously the dew is a factor but we have to keep that out of mind. The message is clear, each one of them knows their role and responsibility. Batting first we are going with the same team,” Iyer said at the coin toss.
