Former Pakistan's Director of Cricket and interim coach Mohammad Hafeez has dropped another truth bomb about Pakistan Cricket to leave everyone stunned. Following his sacking from PCB's top post, Mohammad Hafeez vowed to expose Pakistan Cricket with shocking revelations.

Hafeez cracks whip on Babar Azam, Mickey Arthur

During his latest appearance on the cricket show The Pavilion, he accused Babar Azam and Mickey Arthur of dismantling the team's fitness culture. The experienced cricketer criticized the physical condition of the players who participated in the Test series in Australia, labeling them as unfit.

“When we went to Australia, I told the players to take care of their fitness levels. I also asked the trainer about the fitness of the players. He told me a shocking thing that six months ago captain (Babar Azam) and Director of Cricket (Mickey Arthur) told me to stop checking the players on the fitness parameters and let them play the way they want," former Pakistan's star all-rounder said.

"When the fat levels of the players were checked, the skin fold of all of them was high. They were unfit and some of them couldn’t complete a 2 KM trial. The decision taken 6 months back overruled the set criteria for fitness. You will suffer defeats if the fitness is like that,” Mohammad Hafeez said on the show," Hafeez concluded.

Hafeez's shocking revelation left Akram, Misbah stunned

Wasim Akram and Misbah ul Haq were taken aback by Hafeez's comments.

Notably, Pakistan faced a 0-3 defeat against the team led by Pat Cummins, and New Zealand also handed them a 4-1 loss in the T20Is. Following Pakistan's nightmarish campaign at ODI World Cup 2023 in India, Babar Azam stepped down as captain. With Pakistan not making it to the semi-finals, Babar was on the brink of being dismissed. Meanwhile, Mickey Arthur was requested to move to Pakistan’s High-Performance Center, a proposal he turned down, ultimately leading to his departure from Pakistan Cricket.

Currently, Pakistan's cricketers are participating in the Pakistan Super League 2024.

Hafeez earlier promised to expose Pakistan Cricket and disclose the reasons behind the team's subpar performance during his time as the team's director, aiming to shed light on the underlying issues.

“I always Prioritise and represented Pakistan with dignity and Pride. I accepted the new role as a Director pcb with great passion to make positive reforms but Unfortunately my designated tenure which was offered by  @TheRealPCB for 4 years was cut short for 2 mnths on the account of New chairmanship. Best wishes for Pakistan cricket future. As always, I foremost take responsibility and put myself accountable for all my executions in my given time and will accordingly reveal all the cricketing and other amateur non cricketing facts which ensue bad performances. Stay tuned,” Hafeez had earlier said.
