Talking about the players who have taken the most catches in the T20 World Cup, former South African captain AB de Villiers is at the forefront of this list and till now no one has been able to break his record.

De Villiers holds the record for taking the most catches in the T20 World Cup. He has a total of 23 catches in front of his name. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and star Australian opener David Warner have the chance to leave de Villiers behind in this edition of the marquee event. Rohit is seven catches behind De Villiers. 1. AB de Villiers

Former South African captain AB de Villiers played 30 matches in the T20 World Cups between 2007 and 2016, in which he took a total of 23 catches.

2. David Warner

3. Martin Guptill

New Zealand's Martin Guptill has taken 19 catches in 28 matches between 2009 and 2021. He is at number three on this list.

4. Glenn Maxwell

He is another player with the opportunity to top this in the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup. Between 2012 and 2022, Maxwell played 24 matches in the mega tournament, in which he took 16 catches.

5. Rohit Sharma

Rohit is the only Indian player in this top 5 list who has taken the most catches in the T20 World Cup. He has 16 catches to his name in 39 matches between 2007-2022. Rohit is the one of the only two cricketers to play all editions of the mega tournament. He can leave De Villiers behind in this edition.
