However, the buzz around it just reached the next level with CSK's post asking fans to stay in the ground after the match as a surprise awaits them. Now there are speculations that MS Dhoni might be announcing retirement as this is possibly his last IPL season.

CSK's post sparks speculation around MS Dhoni's retirement

Chennai Super Kings shared a post from their official ‘X’ account formerly known as Twitter and asked the fans to stay at the Chepauk after the match ends. This made fans believe that there might be some big news around Dhoni's retirement or him addressing the Chepauk crowd as this is their last home game. There are more matches in Chepauk but they are scheduled in the playoffs. There is a big chance that the franchise might offer some merch to the fans as a token of gratitude.
