Pollard is MI's batting coach
The former West Indies captain, regarded as one of the best overseas players in the IPL, has been part of the Mumbai Indians franchise since 2010. He served as a player for the Ambani-owned team for 13 years. Then, before the 2023 season, he was appointed as the batting coach for the Rohit Sharma-led side. In the upcoming season of the lucrative league starting on March 22, Pollard will continue in his role as MI's batting coach.
Although he hasn't retired from professional cricket, the right-handed batter recently played for MI Cape Town in the SA20 and MI Emirates in the ILT20. He featured in the ILT20 final, where, under the leadership of Nicholas Pooran, MI defeated the Dubai Capitals to claim victory in the second edition of the T20 tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
