WATCH - Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus does Harshit Rana's iconic flying kiss celebration from IPL in T20 World Cup 2024

Kolkata Knight Riders young pacer Harshit Rana's iconic flying kiss celebration made a lot of buzz in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The rising star even had to face a one-match ban due to his aggressive celebrations. However, it appears his style of celebrating has crossed borders as Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus was seen doing a similar celebration during match 3 of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 against Oman at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, on June 3.

Gerhard Erasmus grabbed two wickets in his four-over spell and only gave 20 runs. His first wicket was Ayaan Khan which came in the 12th over. After dismissing him Erasmus was seen doing the flying kiss celebration which is now going viral all across the social space.

Namibia bowl out Oman on 109 runs

Namibia won the toss and elected to bowl first. They dominated Oman with the ball completely and bowled them out on just 109 runs. First, it was Ruben Trumpelmann who sent Oman's top order back to the pavilion by the third over itself. He finished with a total of four wickets and got great support from David Wiese who grabbed three wickets and Gerhard Erasmus with two scalps. Meanwhile, Bernard Scholtz also took one wicket.

“The atmosphere is great in the Caribbean, everyone was excited for this first game. The pitch held up a bit and we tried to stick to good areas. You couldn’t ask for more - two wickets in two balls. Perfect start. He got the ball to shape nicely. The wicket is sticking a bit, we need to assess it quickly and play positively,” said Bernard Scholtz in the mid-innings break on his team's performance.
