Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be competing against Chennai Super Kings in match 68 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, on May 18. However, there is a big chance of rain and bad weather playing spoilsport and affecting the match proceedings.

Bengaluru weather forecast predicts constant rain

As per a report from weather.com, there will be precipitation up to 80 percent along with thunderstorms in Bengaluru, on Saturday and it will be really high between 5 pm to 11 pm. This can lead to a potential washout. There is also a chance of a reduced-overs match.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru's qualification scenario if rain plays spoilsport

RCB would be praying to the weather gods that rain doesn't spoil the party for them as this is the only opportunity they have to secure the spot in the top four. They need to beat CSK by 18 runs or chase their target in 18.1 overs if they score 200 runs.

However, if the match gets washed out both teams will have to share a point and that will eliminate RCB from playoff race. However, this will affect CSK as well as they will end up with 15 points and this will make them vulnerable to potential elimination.
