India's young explosive batter Rinku Singh has been a crucial part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team for the past few years. His stints with KKR even earned him a call-up to the national side, where also he made his presence felt with tremendous performance. However, his salary with KKR is often under question and it grew larger after the Knights roped in star pacer Mitchell Starc for a massive amount of 24.75 crores but Rinku doesn't let these things on his head and is content with whatever life is sending his way.

“Even Rs 50-55 lakh is a lot. When I started, I didn't even think that I would earn so much. At that time, when I was a child, I felt that if I could get even Rs 10-5, I would do it somehow. Now getting Rs 55 lakh is a lot, one should be happy with whatever God gives. This is my thinking. I don't feel at all that I should have received this much money and that much. I am very happy even with Rs 55 lakh. When this did not happen then it was known how much money is worth,” Rinku Singh told Dainik Jagran.

Rohit Sharma met Rinku Singh after a press conference in Mumbai regarding the T20 World Cup squad. Rinku has finally revealed what the Indian captain told him following his snub from the Indian squad. The KKR star did feel a little bad after missing out on the selection but is now fine as he believes that one should not worried about things that are not in their hands. He also talked about how Rohit told him to keep working hard as there's another World Cup in two years.

"Yes, anyone feels a little sad if they are not selected despite good performance. However, this time the selection could not take place due to team combination. No matter what, one should not think too much about what is not in one's hands. Yes, I was a little worried in the beginning. Okay whatever happened. Whatever happens, happens only for good. Rohit bhaiya did not say anything special. All he said was to just keep working hard. There is the World Cup again after two years. There is no need to worry more. That's all he said to me," said Rinku.
