Rishabh Pant to leave Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2024 auction, here is his next franchise

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant will most likely to leave his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise and will join Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the upcoming season.

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant who is currently with team India for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour. This will be the first time since his comeback that he will feature India in the ODIs. Ahead of Sri Lanka tour reports are coming in that he will leave his IPL franchise DC and he will likely to join Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

According to a report by Dainik Jagran, DC will release Pant before the mega auction. However, he finished the last season as the highest run-getter of the franchise and he has the support of Delhi Capitals Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly. The report further claimed that he will feature for CSK because MS Dhoni is at the last stage of his career for Chennai Super Kings. In such a situation, Rishabh Pant can become a strong contender for Chennai in his place. While Delhi's management is not happy with Pant's performance and has not yet decided to keep him in the team.

Pant has made his comeback after recovering from a near-fatal car accident in 2022 while driving back to home. Pant made a comeback in Team India from the IPL 2023 season and also became the champion by winning the T20 World Cup 2024. Pant has so far scored 3284 runs in 111 matches in IPL history.

After India's T20 World Cup 2024 win, the star wicketkeeper batter will feature for the first time in the upcoming T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka.
