WATCH - Rohit Sharma's fan gets pushed aside as he tries to take selfie with Indian captain at Mumbai airport

Indian cricket team's ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma was on vacation in the United States with his family following the historic triumph in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024. However, his break was expected to be a little longer but BCCI and management decided to call him and Virat Kohli back for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. He arrived in Mumbai after his trip to the US where fans were really excited to see their favorite cricketer. One of the fans even got pushed aside while trying to take a selfie with the Indian skipper.

Rohit Sharma arrived at the Mumbai airport with his wife and daughter after a nice trip to the US as expected fans were really excited to see him and wanted to have a picture with him. As the Indian captain tried to get in his car, he was surrounded by fans. One of the fans even pleaded with Rohit for a picture by saying "Rohit sir ek photo dedo na" (Rohit sir, please have a selfie with me). Amidst this one of the fans who was standing next to Rohit tried to take a selfie with him but was pushed aside by another person who was standing right next to Rohit. However, the Indian captain saw this and in a really heartwarming gesture, he clicked a picture with that fan before getting in his car. The video of this is now going viral all over the internet at a rapid pace.

Rohit set to return

 

After the T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma along with Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja announced retirement from T20I cricket. Now with his focus solely being on ODI and Test, the Indian captain would be returning to cricketing field for the first time with the Sri Lanka series. India will face SL in three T20Is under Suryakumar Yadav's captaincy and after that Rohit will take the command in the 50-over clashes. This will be the first series for the Rohit and Gautam Gambhir duo.
