Gautam Gambhir

India's legendary opener Gautam Gambhir made his T20 debut in a World Cup match against Scotland. He won 2 World Cups for Team India, and scored 932 runs in 37 T20 International matches in his career at a strike rate of 119.

RP Singh

Speedster RP Singh also made his T20 debut in the 2007 World Cup against Scotland. RP Singh got 15 scalps at an economy of 6.81 in his 10 T20I appearances for India.

Robin Uthappa

India star batter Robin Uthappa also comes in the tally the classical batter made his T20I debut in the 2007 World Cup. He represented India in 13 T20Is and scored 249 runs at a strike rate of 118.

Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh is arguably one of the best all-rounders India have produced. He also started his T20I career with T20 World Cup 2007. He played 58 T20Is and scored 1177 runs with a strike rate of 136 and has taken 28 wickets.

Joginder Sharma

2007 T20 World Cup hero Joginder Sharma started his T20I career with the same edition of the tournament. He played only 4 T20 matches for India and took 4 wickets in them.

Rohit Sharma

Current Indian captain Rohit Sharma also made his T20 debut in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Rohit has scored 3974 runs for India in 151 T20 matches at a strike rate of 139 and has also scored 5 centuries.

Yusuf Pathan

Yusuf Pathan made his T20I debut in the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup he scored 10 runs in his debut match. Yusuf represented India in 22 T20I matches and scored 236 runs with a tremendous strike rate of 146.5 and has also taken 13 wickets.

Pragyan Ojha's debut in the 2009 T20 World Cup

Pragyan Ojha played T20 cricket for India for the first time in the 2009 T20 World Cup played in England. In his T20 International career, he played 6 matches in which he has 10 wickets with an economy of 6.28.

Three Indian players made their debut in the 2010 T20 World Cup played in West Indies.

 Murali Vijay

Murali Vijay, the best opening batsman of Test cricket, has scored 169 runs in 9 matches with a strike rate of 109 for India in his T20 International.

Piyush Chawla

Experienced bowler Chawla also played his first T20 International match in the same tournament. Chawla took 4 wickets in 7 T20 International matches with an economy of 6.56.

Vinay Kumar

This fast bowler from Karnataka has played 9 T20 International matches for Team India and has taken 10 wickets with a good economy of 7.84.

Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma debuted in 2014

Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma made their T20 debut for Team India in the 2014 T20 World Cup played in Sri Lanka. Shami has taken 24 wickets in 23 T20 International matches played so far at an economy of 8.94, while Mohit Sharma has played 8 matches and taken 6 wickets.
