Star Indian player twisted his ankle during the India C vs India B match in Duleep Trophy 2024 which later forced him to get retire hurt and return to the dugout,
Duleep Trophy 2024 is in its second round and India C is taking on India B. The match has been full of shocks as firstly Ishan Kishan's surprise entry in the India C playing XI stunned everyone and later their captain Ruturaj Gaikwad getting retired hurt after playing just 2 balls turned out to be a big blow for them. Gaikwad smashed a boundary on the first ball and was looking in great touch but after the second ball, he twisted his ankle which forced him to return to the dugout.
Rajat Patidar came out and joined Sai Sudharsan in the middle as their team's skipper faced an unfortunate end. Earlier, Abhimanyu Easwaran won the toss and elected to field first. India C by 22 overs managed to post 87 runs on the scoreboard. Both Rajat and Sai are progressing the scoreboard nicely. They would be eyeing to give their team a great start and help them post a big first innings total.
There is no confirmation or update available on the extent of Gaikwad's injury and as of now, it can not be confirmed if, Gaikwad will be available to field or bat later in this match. Their team picked up crucial 6 points against India D in the first round and would be eyeing to have a similar outing in this clash as well.
There is also no DRS available for this India C vs India B clash which is being played at the Rural Development Trust Stadium B in Anantapur. In the previous round, DRS facility was available for both matches but this time that facility has only been made available for the India A vs India D match.
