Tendulkar is Lone's inspiration
During their conversation, Lone shared his story, highlighting that Tendulkar has been his source of inspiration.
Tendulkar took the opportunity to meet with Lone's family as well, capturing the moment with photographs. Originating from Waghama village in Bijbehara, Lone faced a devastating setback when he lost both his hands in an accident at his father's mill at the age of eight.
Despite this challenge, he overcame the obstacles to pursue a career in cricket, actively participating in the sport since 2013. Presently, he leads the Jammu and Kashmir Para cricket team as its captain.
During his family vacation in Jammu and Kashmir, Sachin Tendulkar, the world's leading run-scorer in international cricket with a total of 34,357 runs, has been sharing glimpses of his trip, including scenic snapshots from Pahalgam.
The cricketing giant has etched his name in history with numerous records, such as being the inaugural cricketer to hit a double century in a One Day International (ODI) and the singular cricketer to achieve 100 international centuries across different formats.
He played a pivotal role in India's triumph in the 2011 Cricket World Cup and has been honored with several accolades, including the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award in India.
With a remarkable career that includes setting the record for the most runs in a single calendar year in ODIs (1,894) and featuring in the most Test (200) and ODI (463) matches, Tendulkar's contributions to cricket are unparalleled.
