Saeed Anwar on Virat Kohli

Saeed Anwar was highly impressed with Kohli's shot during the match against PBKS. He shared a clip of Virat's six against Sam Curran in the 16th over from his official ‘X’ account formerly known as Twitter and expressed how excited he is to witness more of such shots from the Indian batting maestro.

“If Virat Kohli can hit these shots, why doesn't he do it more often? Maybe he's just saving them for the big moments. Either way, excited to see more of those amazing shots from him,” Anwar tweeted.

Virat Kohli on RCB's win against PBKS

RCB registered a big 60-run win against PBKS to keep their playoff chances alive. Virat Kohli addressed his team's victory and also reflected on his astonishing innings. He accepted that he needs to take more risk for the good of the team and how they are now playing for self-respect and to put a better show for fans after a disappointing first half of the tournament.

“Still quality over quantity. More so at this stage of my career. Understanding your game over so many years allows you to practise but still stay switched on. And still aiming to improve aspects of your game that you want to get batter on. I brought out the slog-sweep to the spinners. I know I can hit it as I've done it in the past. I know I need to take risks. Takes more conviction and to remove the thought 'what if I get out?' Means I can improve my strike rate in the middle overs,” Kohli said in the post match presentation.

“Have to be honest, we were not good enough in the first half of the tournament. We got to a point where we said don't look at the table, play for self-respect. Make yourselves proud and the fans. We need to raise our level. If we had done so earlier we would be in a position needing to rely on so many factors," he added.
