Wife-Eye: Shining light on Priyanka Chaudhary Raina's impactful ventures beyond her identity as Suresh Raina's wife
Since getting hitched with Suresh Raina, Priyanka Chaudhary Raina got actively involved in social work and business initiatives focused on women's and children's health.
Suresh Raina's wife Priyanka Chaudhary is a woman of many talents — daughter, wife, mother, and entrepreneur. She married Suresh Raina, one of India's most celebrated limited-overs cricketers, on April 3rd, 2015. Born on June 18, 1986, Priyanka Chaudhary Raina comes from Baraut, a town in Uttar Pradesh. She also holds a degree in engineering from the KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad. She initially pursued a career in IT within India. Later, she moved to the Netherlands with her family and transitioned to the banking industry.
Interestingly, Priyanka and Suresh were childhood friends. Their paths reconnected upon her return to India, blossoming into a loving relationship. Today, they are proud parents to their two children, Rio and Gracia Raina. Notably, Suresh Raina was a vital cog in India's historic 2011 World Cup victory, providing crucial runs in the lower-middle order. The stylish left-handed batsman carved out an impressive international career spanning 13 years, representing India in 18 Tests, 226 ODIs, and 78 T20Is.
But Priyanka Raina is more than just a cricketer's wife.
Since their marriage, Priyanka Raina got actively involved in social work and business initiatives focused on women's and children's health. This dedication extends to her co-founding of the baby care brand 'Maate,' which works in collaboration with the 'Gracia Raina Foundation' (GRF). Led by Priyanka herself, the GRF specifically addresses maternal and child healthcare needs.
Priyanka Chaudhary Raina: Entrepreneur and Advocate for Safe Motherhood
Beyond her roles as wife, mother, and daughter, Priyanka Chaudhary Raina is a co-founder of Maate Care, a popular healthcare brand.
Driven by her own experience as a mother of two, Priyanka embarked on a mission in 2019. She envisioned a brand offering safe and reliable baby care products that mothers could trust. This passion to raise awareness for mother and child well-being led to the birth of Maate. The name ‘Maate’ itself goes beyond a brand label. It embodies the profound essence of motherhood and the nurturing care a mother provides for her child.
In a marketplace often saturated with baby care products containing harsh chemicals, Maate stands out. Their focus prioritizes efficacy over purely cosmetic appeal. Maate sets high standards by utilising natural, chemical-free ingredients inspired by Ayurvedic principles, expertly adapted to modern-day needs. Furthermore, the brand demonstrates a commitment to sustainability through eco-friendly practices and packaging, minimizing their environmental impact.
