After the conclusion of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)  star pacer Mitchell Starc lavished praise on captain Shreyas Iyer for his captaincy in the recently concluded season. KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in the final to end their 10-year title drought.

KKR lifted their third IPL title under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. Starc said that Iyer knows well how to handle captaincy pressure. He jokingly said that the KKR skipper needs to practice coin-tossing for the upcoming season.

"To see him go about his captaincy has been fantastic. He's pretty level-headed, and pretty calm even when things haven't gone our way. Hey may need to work on his coin-tossing in the off-season," Starc was quoted by KKR as saying.

The final of IPL 2024 was played at MA Chidambaram (Chepauk) stadium in Chennai. After being asked to bowl first KKR bundled out SRH for 113 runs.
