The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) sustained a brutal loss against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on April 28 (Sunday). The Orange Army slipped to a 78-run loss against the Yellow Army at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. SRH's batting line-up, which has instilled fear in the opposition's bowlers throughout the season, failed in unison in pursuit of a 213-run target.

The Sunrisers folded for just 134 runs and failed to bat out their allotted quota of 20 overs. SRH were bundled out the Super Kings bowlers in just 18.5 overs.

SRH captain Pat Cummins remained calm after the defeat and exuded confidence in the team's ability to chase targets. Cummins underlined that his team needs to work on how to bat in the second innings.

"Just nothing really went to plan tonight. It feels like we're pretty well suited to chasing, but it hasn't really come off yet. So, something to work on, I guess," Cummins said at the post-match press conference.

Batting aggressively in SRH's victory mantra

While addressing the failure of his batters against the Super Kings, captain Cummins affirmed that the only way in which his side can win the competition is by batting aggressively throughout their quota of 20 overs. The Sunrisers have five wins after playing nine matches in the ongoing season of the cash-rich tournament.

"I think T20 has just gone to a whole new level this season. I think the way we set up, I think that's our best chance (batting aggressively). If, you know, we got some really aggressive batters. I think that's our best way to win the tournament, playing like that," Cummins said.

"To be frank. Yeah, batting. No, not that worried. This season they've been fantastic. So, um, it's T20 cricket. You're gonna have games where you don't miss out, but the batter has been fantastic," Cummins added.
