Suryakumar Yadav clears fitness test and declared fit for IPL 2024; to join Mumbai Indians team on THIS date

In what came as a massive boost for the struggling Mumbai Indians (MI) team, superstar batter Suryakumar Yadav was declared fit to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. In an exclusive update accessed by the Sports Tak, Suryakumar Yadav has cleared the fitness Test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and will join the team soon. The Mumbai Indians' best batter is likely to join the squad on April 5 (Friday).

"Suryakumar Yadav has been declared fit and will be joining Mumbai Indians on April 5," a source told Sports Tak.

Mumbai Indians need Suryakumar Yadav now more than ever

Suryakumar is widely considered the premier batter in the Mumbai Indians lineup. His achievements in T20 cricket are notable, and his contribution to any T20 squad is unparalleled. In the last season, he was the top run-scorer for MI, accumulating 605 runs across 16 matches with an impressive strike rate of 181.14, including five fifties and one century.

Therefore, both the Mumbai Indians and their supporters are eagerly hoping that Suryakumar could return as soon as the team's next game against the Delhi Capitals.

At the beginning of this year, he underwent surgery to address a sports hernia and only now has completed the process of rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
