Former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan dropped three points following his comeback against Zimbabwe in the last two T20Is of the five-match series. Shakib retained at the top despite losing three rating points but is joined by Sri Lankan T20I captain Wanindu Hasaranga. Both all-rounders occupy the no.1 spot with 228 rating points.

Shakib bagged five wickets and scored 22 runs in the last T20Is of the series whereas Hasaranga has not played a T20I since Match 9, 2024. Coincidentally, his last T20I appearance was against Bangladesh. He scored 15 runs and took two wickets in Sri Lanka's 28-run win over Bangladesh. Hasaranga has been out of action due to injury. He was pulled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 by the Sri Lankan Cricket (SLC). He was picked up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for his base price of Rs 1.5 crore.

How the rest of top 10 looks

Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi occupies the third spot followed by Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza. The Pakistan-born all-rounder climbed two places despite just one half-century and two wickets in the recently-concluded five-T20I series against Bangladesh. His best performance of 72 not out came in the final T20I of the series. It turned out to be Zimbabwe's only win in the series.

South Africa's Aiden Markram and Australia's Marcus Stoinis who are currently playing for their respective Indian Premier League (IPL) teams are placed fifth and sixth. India's Hardik Pandya whose last T20I appearance was against West Indies in August 2023 retained his seventh spot. The eighth and ninth places belong to England's Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali respectively.

Shadab out of top 10

There has been a new addition in the top 10. Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee moved one spot as Pakistan’s Shadab Khan slipped to 11th. Airee's last T20I appearance was against Hong Kong on April 20, 2024, where he scored an unbeaten 44 and picked up two wickets. Shadab fell out of top 10 as he wasn't impressive in his only T20I appearance against Ireland in the three-T20I series. He was dismissed for a duck and went for 54 runs in his quota of four overs.
