Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will be going one-on-one against Babar Azam's Pakistan in match 19 of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 which will be played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, on June 9 (Sunday). This is going to be a match for both teams and everyone in the cricketing world has their eyes on this high-octane clash between the arch-rivals. Everyone is excited about the Men in Blue colliding against the PAK brigade but is also worried that the rain might play spoilsport.

India had a dominant outing in their fixture against Ireland. On the other hand, The Men in Green side suffered an embarrassing loss against the co-hosts USA in a match that went till the Super Over. They would be a little underconfident with the recent outings in the T20 format.

New York weather forecast

The weather forecast predicts a rain threat over the much-awaited clash between India and Pakistan. The precipitation chances go up to 51-61 percent which can be a little bothering. As per the Accuweather report, there is a 51% chance of rain at 11 AM local time (8:30 PM IST), just half an hour after the starting time of the match. There might be a toss delay or chances of weather messing with the match proceedings.

If persistent rain and bad weather somehow lead to a washout. Both teams will have to share a point. A similar scenario was seen in the clash between Scotland and England.
