T20 World Cup 2024: Will rain cause washout in PAK vs CAN clash? Check New York weather forecast ahead of Pakistan's must-win game

Babar Azam's Pakistan cricket team is all set to go one-on-one against Saad Bin Zafar-led Canada in match 22 of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 which will be played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, on June 11 (Tuesday). This is a crucial game for the Men in Green in order to stay in the playoffs race. Everyone has their eyes on the performance of the former champions but is also worried that the rain might play spoilsport.

Pakistan are coming into this match after two consecutive losses against the co-hosts United States and arch-rivals India. This has brought them in a position where it has become a must-win game. On the othe hand, if Canada can win this game by upsetting the former champions, they will stay in the race for Super 8.

New York weather forecast

There is a chance of rain as per the New York weather forecast and it can also play spoilsport in the match proceedings, the precipitation chances go up to 20 percent which can be a little bothering for the fans. However, it can also be just passing showers and the match might proceed with a few interruptions. Earlier, the Scotland vs England game was abandoned due to rain as well after just 10 overs in the first innings. Hopefully, this won't be the sight during Pakistan's game. If rain causes a potential washout both teams will have to share a point.
