Virat Kohli missed the entire India vs England Test series
Former India captain and superstar batter, Kohli missed all five matches of India's home Test series against England. Kohli opted out of the series owing to personal reasons as he traveled to London for the birth of his second child. Kohli last played professional cricket during India's T20I series against Afghanistan. The upcoming cash-rich-tournament will mark the comeback of Kohli to the cricket field after a substantial period of absence.
When will Virat Kohli join the RCB camp?
While there is no official confirmation on when will Virat Kohli join the RCB training camp, there are reports that claim that the superstar will join the team on March 19. The Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is RCB's home ground, is slated to host an event on March 19. Kohli is scheduled to take part in the event at the Chinnaswamy Stadium ahead of the IPL.
Virat Kohli is yet to win IPL title
Virat Kohli has participated in 16 IPL tournaments but has not secured a championship win yet. In 2016, under Kohli's captaincy, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were close to clinching the title but were defeated in the final by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Kohli was also a crucial part of the RCB squad in their 2009 and 2011 finals appearances, but the team finished second in both instances.
The upcoming season offers another opportunity for Kohli and RCB to end their long wait for an IPL trophy and fulfill the long-held aspirations of their dedicated fan base, which has been waiting for this triumph since the league's inception in 2008.
