Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team is gearing up for the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 which is set to be played in the United States and West Indies. However, star batter Virat Kohli is yet to join the team in the USA. He was not among the first or second batch of cricketers to leave India. As per reports, Virat is enjoying a mini-break after the recently concluded Indian Premier League season. Amidst this, he was also spotted having dinner with former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan and his wife in Mumbai.

Sports Tak has learned from its sources that Virat Kohli will be leaving for the USA on the morning of May 30. The Indian batting maestro even asked BCCI to keep his visa appointment for a later date as he wanted some time off after the IPL. Now a video of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma with Zaheer Khan and his wife post-dinner is going viral all across the social space. Kohli is most likely to miss India's warm-up fixture against Bangladesh on June 1.

India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad

Rohit Sharma will be leading Team India in the T20 World Cup 2024. They have been placed in the Group A along with USA, Canada, Pakistan, and Ireland. The Men in Blue will start their campaign with the clash against Ireland in New York, on June 5. Then it will be time for the much-awaited clash as they will go on and compete against their arch-rivals Pakistan at the same venue, on June 9.
