Shaqkere Parris' Mammoth Six Stuns CPL

The Trinbago opener, Shaqkere Parris, hit a colossal 124-metre six to leave everyone stunned and in utter disbelief. He scored a valuable 29 runs off 29 balls, but it was his massive six that captured the attention of the crowd. Parris unleashed a powerful shot against left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie in the third over of the chase. Kneeling down, he dispatched the ball over long-on, sending it soaring into the stadium's roof and traveling an astonishing 124 meters.

Trinbago Knight Riders' dramatic comeback victory

The victory at their home ground, following a successful stint away, was particularly significant for Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR). It marked their second remarkable comeback win of the season, showcasing their depth and talent. Despite a rocky start that saw them struggling at 89-5, TKR's fortunes were dramatically turned around by Andre Russell and Tim David. Russell's powerful hitting, combined with David's consecutive sixes in the closing over, clinched a victory that seemed improbable midway through their innings. The win has propelled TKR to second place in the CPL 2024 points table. Shaqkere Parris' 124-meter six is the biggest in the history of the CPL. The 21-year-old, a top talent who has represented West Indies U-19, has also secured a place among the top 10 biggest sixes in cricket history across all formats. However, New Zealand batter Martin Guptill's 127-meter strike against South Africa remains the biggest six in T20 format. In the Indian Premier League, former Chennai Super Kings star Albie Morkel also hit a maximum that traveled 124 meters.
