'We Sikhs saved ur mothers and sisters': Harbhajan Singh tears into Kamran Akmal for racist remark on Arshdeep Singh during live show

Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal is in hot water for his racist remark on Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh on live TV. Akmal made these comments during the high-voltage T20 World Cup 2024 clash which ended with India beating Pakistan by six runs. Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh took to his X account and lashed out at Akmal for his derogatory remarks. 
 

“Dekhiye last over karna hai Arshdeep ne. Waise uska rhythm nahi lag raha, lag bhi sakta hai Lakh di laanat tere Kamraan Akhmal.. You should know the history of sikhs before u open ur filthy mouth. We Sikhs saved ur mothers and sisters when they were abducted by invaders, the time invariably was 12 o’clock . Shame on you…Have some Gratitude @KamiAkmal23uska 12 baj gaye,” Harbhajan wrote on X.

Arshdeep was handy with the ball despite an expensive start. He got the wicket of Imad Wasim with a brilliant yorker on the first ball of the final over defending 18 runs. Earlier, he contributed nine crucial runs to India’s score as they faced a batting collapse in the second half of the innings. 

Arshdeep’s parents’ reaction to the close win

After the thrilling six-run win, Arshdeep's parents interacted with Sports Tak. The left-arm pacer Arshdeep's mother she closed her eyes in the last over of the match when he was bowling. On the other end, Arshdeep's father said that he kept on updating her about what is happening in the match. They were proud of the young pacer's contribution in India's win.

Pakistan's Super 8 qualification scenario 

India are on top of the points table with two wins from two games. They have a better net run rate (NRR) than USA who have four points as well. Canada are third on the table followed by Pakistan and Ireland. Pakistan's next two games against Canada and Ireland are now must-win encounters. They need to win by big margins and also hope that USA does not win against India or Ireland.
