'Winning at home isn't as easy...': RCB trolls Shan Masood's Pakistan with an indirect dig after series whitewash against Bangladesh
Shan Masood's Pakistan are almost out of WTC final race after suffering a series defeat at home at the hands of Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh.
Pakistan men’s cricket team hit a new low in their Test cricket history as they were whitewashed at home by Najmul Hossain Shanto’s Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. Bangladesh beat Pakistan by six wickets to clinch the series 2-0 despite an entire day getting lost to rain. The Shan Masood-led side is facing heavy criticism from current and former cricketers. Following Pakistan’s embarrassing defeat at home, the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) took a dig at them via their social media account.
“Winning at home isn't as easy as this team makes it look like,” RCB wrote on X.
“And they are back this month”.
Pakistan’s last Test win came more than three years ago. They have played 10 Tests and lost six of them whereas four ended in a draw.
Meanwhile, India have been dominant at home. India’s last Test series defeat on their home soil came against Alastair Cook’s England in 2012.

Masood takes responsibility of defeat but rues lack of Test cricket
Skipper Masood apologised to the nation after the series defeat. He said that he does not want to make excuses but the 10-month gap between two Tests meant that they were not prepared for red-ball cricket.
“I take responsibility for the defeats and I apologise to the nation. But I think we need to focus on how we can improve and take our Test side forward,” Masood said in the post-match press meet.
“There is no excuse for losing this series and we accept that. But it is also a fact that the players also wanted to do well.
“But we were just not prepared for red ball cricket. We have to tolerate some failures if we are to move forward,” he added.
Pakistan almost out of WTC final race
With eight five losses from seven Tests, Pakistan are at the eighth place in the World Test Championship (WTC) table. They are almost out of another WTC final race. Meanwhile, two-time WTC finalists India are at the top with a win percentage of 68.52 from eight Tests.
