Big News: Yuvraj Singh's biopic announced, 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams' producer to co-produce via 200 Not Out Cinema

After former skipper MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh's story will be brought to life. The Cancer-survivor's biopic's title is yet to be finalised.

India's T20 World Cup 2007 and ODI World Cup 2011-winning all-rounder Yuvraj Singh's biopic has been announced. The announcement came on August 20. The biopic will be produced by T Series head Bhushan Kumar and Ravi Bhagchandka via 200 Not Out Cinema.
 

“I am deeply honored that my story will be showcased to millions of my fans across the globe by Bhushan-ji and Ravi. Cricket has been my greatest love and source of strength through all the highs and lows. I hope this film inspires others to overcome their own challenges and pursue their dreams with unwavering passion,” Yuvraj told The Variety.
 

Yuvraj smashed record-setting six sixes in T20 World Cup 2007 against England. Four years later, he played a pivotal role in India’s ODI World Cup 2011 triumph. He was named ‘Player of the series. The southpaw was struggling with cancer during the tournament and even vomited blood during his knock against the West Indies.

“Yuvraj has been a dear friend for many years. I’m honored that he trusted us to translate his incredible cricketing journey into a cinematic experience. Yuvi is not just a world champion but a true legend in every sense of the word,” Bhagchandka said.

So far, it has not been decided who will play Yuvraj Singh in the biopic. Also, the title of the biopic is not finalised either. Kumar is happy to bring Yuvraj’s inspirational story to the big screen.

Yuvraj's career in numbers

Yuvraj made his international cricket debut in 2000. Three years later, he made his Test debut. He scored 8,701 runs at an average of 36.55 including 14 centuries and 52 fifties from 304 ODIs. He bagged 111 wickets in the format as well. He did not have much success in Tests scoring 1,900 runs from 40 games at an average of 33.92 including three centuries and 11 fifties. In T20Is, he scored 1,177 runs from 58 matches including eight fifties. He bagged 28 wickets as well. In 2019, he announced his retirement from all formats of the game.

 

However, he continues to play in Legends League. Recently, he led India Champions to win over Pakistan Champions in World Championship of Legends 2024.
