'He's horrible looking': WWE veteran reacts to Batista's shocking weight loss look
Dutch Mantell, a former WWE manager, has recently voiced his doubts about Star Wrestler Dave Bautista's significant weight loss, sparking concerns among fans regarding the actor's health.
Dutch Mantell, a former WWE manager, has recently voiced his doubts about Star Wrestler Dave Bautista's significant weight loss, sparking concerns among fans regarding the actor's health. During a recent episode of *Story Time with Dutch Mantell, Mantell criticized Bautista’s transformation, stating he was not impressed with the changes. This remark comes at a time when Bautista, famously known as "The Animal," has reassured his followers that he feels comfortable and healthy in his new physique.
"Good god, my god. That's... yep. He's horrible looking. The body... what's he... what's he weigh now? He gotta weigh under 200. He looks really thin. Hey, if you took his... I could tell by the face, but if you took his face off, you couldn't tell who that was at all," Dutch said.
Shocking Weight loss
Bautista, who is now 55 years old, has shed around 75 pounds, a notable change that he attributes to a combination of intense training and a calorie-restricted diet. In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, he explained that he had previously gained what he described as an "uncomfortable amount of weight" while preparing for his role in M. Night Shyamalan's 2023 film *Knock at the Cabin*, where he reached approximately 315 pounds. Bautista admitted that this weight gain involved indulging in foods like french fries and pancakes to bulk up quickly for the role.

Currently weighing about 240 pounds, Bautista has emphasized that while some fans have expressed concern over his health—suggesting he appears "skinny" or even "anorexic"—he feels healthier than ever. Standing at 6'4", his current weight is still substantial compared to typical actors, allowing him to maintain a commanding presence on screen. Bautista has also indicated his intention to continue losing weight to better align with the roles he aspires to take on, noting that his previous size had become a distraction during auditions.
“I probably overdid it. I was probably a little too big, but at the time I was just thinking: ‘I gotta get big.’ I put on an uncomfortable amount of weight, and it took me forever to shed it off. Then I noticed the more I trimmed down, the better I felt. And I also noticed the more I trimmed down, the better I looked on camera, the better I look next to other actors," Batista said on his transformation.
