Mbappe transfer to Real Madrid

The French striker has been consistently rumoured to be eyeing a lucrative transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid, allegedly turning down a 200 million Euro offer in 2021. Recently, Mbappe found the net in PSG's 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 clash.

Mbappe's tally for the season stands at 31 goals and seven assists in 30 appearances across all competitions. He has notably scored 20 goals in 19 league matches, topping the goal-scoring charts in Ligue 1.

Mbappe has cemented his status as PSG's all-time leading scorer, boasting an impressive tally of 237 goals in 284 appearances, surpassing Edinson Cavani's previous record. In 2023 alone, he netted 52 goals, with 42 of those contributions attributed to PSG. His overall club statistics are equally astounding, with 275 goals and 123 assists in 355 games, showcasing his consistent ability to both score and create opportunities.

Mbappe's Trophy Haul

Mbappe has clinched six Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, two French League Cups, and three French Super Cups, in addition to securing victory in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The 25-year-old has also been honoured with the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award on two occasions.

Mbappe's tenure at AS Monaco, where he initially rose to prominence, laid the groundwork for his subsequent achievements. His transfer to PSG in 2017 for 180 million Euros established him as the second-most expensive player at that time.

On the international stage, he has been a pivotal figure for France, registering 46 goals and 30 assists in 75 appearances. Notably, he recorded a historic hat-trick in the 2022 World Cup final, despite France ultimately losing to Argentina on penalties.

At present, PSG lead Ligue 1 with 50 points from 21 matches, boasting 15 wins, five draws, and just one loss. They possess a goal difference of 33, having scored 51 goals and conceded only 18.
